Calving season prep

A dairy shed needs to be in full functional order before calving season starts...

Before the new dairy season starts, you need to check if your dairy shed is in need of some maintenance, whether your vacuum pump or your effluent irrigation pump is in working order. It is a good idea to keep a close eye on them. Demand on these systems will only increase and if you start off with a sub-par pump, you'll be paying for it later. If the pumps are noisy or running erratically, it is better to get them checked sooner rather than later.
